Registered Service Manager

I used to be a dedicated and qualified teacher who has now turned her skills towards working as a Registered Service Manager in semi-supported accommodation.  Having completed a Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care and a Higher Level Apprenticeship in Social Care,  I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to this role, having numerous transferable skills, gained during my professional journey. I have a profound commitment to the well-being and development of 16-18 year old looked after children, understanding that at this age they might be young adults but still need the mentorship and support of trusted adults around them so they can successfully navigate the challenges and triumphs they face.

In my role as a Registered Service Manager, I am entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring excellence in every aspect of the service we offer at Eclipse Properties.  From fostering a supportive and nurturing environment to implementing strategies that empower and inspire, I am driven by the belief that every young person deserves a chance to thrive.

With a heart for education and a mind for strategic management, I strive, alongside our dedicated team, to create a space at Eclipse Properties where young minds can not only find shelter but also build a foundation for a brighter future.  Education, support and empowerment are the foundations of the service we provide, resulting in meaningful work and a shared dedication that fuels my mission to create positive change for 16-18 year old looked after children.

Ensuring Eclipse continues to provide competitive services to all existing and new clients.  Implementing systems, software, and checks ensuring the business remains compliant and effective within various frameworks and enhancing its client portfolio.

Continually looking forward, born and raised within Wolverhampton, having studied public policy at Manchester University in 2001.  I have worked for a number of housing organisations providing support and accommodation to vulnerable people, managing large property portfolios across vast geographical areas.  I have assisted the Border agency through their asylum dispersal programme as well as working for organisations providing accommodation to refugees, and both section 4 and 95 asylum seekers.  Estate management for a local authority, dealing with complex issues within communities and families allowed by diplomacy skills to strengthen.

Having seen inequalities and destitution at first hand I have always been an advocate of social change and reform.  Having been elected as parent governor of a local secondary school I hope I may be able to play a part in the change, and ensure that those that require additional support and protection receive it unreservedly.

Daoud Hashimi

Daoud Hashimi

West Midlands Area Manager

Daoud works very closely with our UASC and manages the property portfolio for Eclipse Properties Ltd.  He also oversees the service in the West Midlands Area.  Daoud has a Level 3 NVQ in Property Management and has a very similar background to our UASCs.

Daoud came to the UK in 2002 at the tender age of 18 years old, as an asylum seeker, from Afghanistan.  He initially started working for a company called Caradon as a support worker but soon rose up in the ranks to Regional Manager, supervising up to 20 support workers.

Daoud understands and empathises with what a lot of our UASCs go through day to day.  He has been where they are but wants them to appreciate that it won’t always be like this.  With hard work they can achieve their dreams.

In 2008 Daoud went into partnership with Sanjeev Sansoy and they opened Eclipse Properties Ltd.  He still remembers to this day how they built the company up from scratch by winning Local Authority tenders and contracts to house young people.

Daoud is multi-lingual and speaks fluent Persian, Pashto, Urdu, Surani and of course English.

He is currently living in Birmingham and enjoys time with his wife and two children.
